Local Attractions:
Pleasure Island proudly offers many activities for our guests to enjoy. The North
Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is a 93,000 square foot aquarium, which showcases the plants and animals
of the Cape Fear region's rivers, swamps, estuaries, beaches and ocean. The aquarium offers daily dive shows,
live animal presentations, a touch pool, a large ocean tank, and a half-acre freshwater conservatory. Don't
leave without visiting the gift shop.
The Fort Fisher State Historic Site offers a 1/4-mile tour trail that encircles the remains
of the fort. Educational exhibit panels are featured as well as a restored gun emplacement. The visitor
center and restrooms are easily accessible.
The Boardwalk of Carolina Beach is a step back in time, featuring souvenir shops, arcades,
doughnut and ice cream stands and nightclubs. Weekly summer gazebo concerts are fun for the whole family.
The Kure Beach and Carolina Beach Fishing Piers provide ample tackle shops, arcades and
grills as well as some of the best fishing around.
The Winner Fishing and Cruise Boats provide a variety of boating options from high-speed
catamarans to 400-passenger dinner cruise vessels.

picnic areas, restrooms and playgrounds for great family fun. Kayaks, pedal boats, and barracuda water bikes
are available for rent.
Carolina Beach Jungle Mini Golf lets you show off your swing. Baseball players can practice
batting in one of six batting cages. And, when you are ready to take a break from the heat, just step indoors
